2023.09.08 A joint research by researchers from Japan and China titled "Research Topics and Methods in Maritime Decarbonization: A Natural Language Processing Approach" was presented at the conference of the International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME2023).
2023.06.06 A seminar on "Physical Internet and related research topics" is scheduled for 4 July at 15:00 JST. This seminar will be co-hosted with the Supply Chain SIG of the Society for Serviceology. The aim of the seminar is to promote knowledge about the Physical Internet (PI) and to identify potential collaborative opportunities between researchers from different disciplines. PI is considered as one of the most important technologies to achieve carbon neutrality in supply chains.
2022.05.03. Dr. D. Watanabe will present his research "Estimation of GHG emissions from ships using AIS data and oil statistics" in the spring seminar (May 25-26) at the Japan Society of Naval Architects and Ocean Engineering. Participant registration is open up to May 18.
2022.05.03. Dr. Y. Wada and Dr. R. Shibasaki will organize a session in the spring seminar (May 25-26) at the Japan Society of Naval Architects and Ocean Engineering. They will also present their recent works on "Development of SD model to achieve SDGs for maritime industry" and "Estimation of bunkering operations based on AIS data and international comparison". Participant registration is open up to May 18.
2022.03.01. Dr. E. Hirata and Dr. R. Shibasaki will introduce our research alliance and research results in JSPS JARA event. The registration is open.
2021.12.10. Strategy meeting with maritime researchers in China and Korea was held aiming to further strengthen research collaboration.
The purpose of our research alliance is to achieve GHG emissions assessment, identify measures to cut GHG emissions to achieve sustainable shipping, identify sustainable shipping policies, establish cooperation schemes and governance on climate change.
