Application forms (found below ⬇) will be accepted starting after the February meeting and are due at the March meeting

The form must be turned in physically to Mr. Decker in room C228 before the due date
All applicants must provide a brief speech during both the morning and afternoon April meetings
If you are unable to attend one or more of the meetings, consider recording a video and emailing it to us at mu_alpha_theta@roundrockisd.org
Voting will occur immediately after the speeches in the morning and afternoon
Please avoid commenting on your opponents during your speech!
All officers should attend and participate in all officer planning meetings, general meetings, events, and mathematics contests. All officers will aid in additional ways outside the realm of their duties. All officers must be punctual in attendance as well as on assignments. All officers should be respectful and helpful toward one another.
Positions
The President shall be the chief executive officer of the chapter. He or she shall preside at all general and executive business sessions, and it shall be the duty of the president to provide direction and leadership to the activities of the organization and other officers. (Co-Presidents are allowed)
The Vice-President shall perform the duties of the President at times when the President is absent. He or she will be responsible for inviting 9th-grade eligible students to become members, maintaining the bulletin board, and handling publicity for meetings and events (including social media). He or she shall actively participate in all executive team meetings providing leadership and ideas.
The Secretary shall keep an accurate record of all proceedings at both general and executive meetings to be given to the sponsor. All motions should be recorded with the results of the vote. He or she shall submit minutes to the sponsor in electronic format and also send e-mails (minimum once a month) detailing club events and information to all members. He or she shall actively participate in all executive team meetings providing leadership and ideas.
The Treasurer shall handle all money belonging to the Chapter and shall maintain an accurate record of financial transactions -- a collection of dues, recording payment of dues (Excel spreadsheet), and accepting and recording payments of any kind (TBCH, t-shirts, cords, etc.). He or she shall actively participate in all executive team meetings whilst providing leadership and ideas.
The Records Official shall keep track of attendance at meetings and participation in all club activities by awarding points and keeping a record of each member’s points (Excel spreadsheet knowledge required). He or she shall actively participate in all executive team meetings providing leadership and ideas.
The Historian shall keep a record of all Mu Alpha Theta events, from Colt Camp to open house, school events such as homecoming, TBCH, and clean-up days, to club events like contests and meetings. This record is sure to involve picture taking at all events (attendance at all events required) and organizing into a scrapbook, slideshow, etc. He or she shall actively participate in all executive team meetings providing leadership and ideas.
The Webpage Coordinator shall maintain the Mu Alpha Theta web page with current up-to-date information about upcoming events and meetings. He or she shall actively participate in all executive team meetings providing leadership and ideas.
The Contest Official shall organize, publicize, and preside over all mathematics contests. He or she shall collect attendance for the records official. He or she shall actively participate in all executive team meetings providing leadership and ideas.
