Meet Mrs. McMullin & Mrs. Rios

Welcome to Room 202! I am very excited to work with you this school year!

Here’s a little bit about me: My husband, Frank and I have 3 children. Ryan is a recent graduate of the The George Washington University, in Washington D.C., where he currently lives and works. Rachel is a junior at ECU and Rowan is in 9th grade at Wakefield High School.

We relocated to Raleigh from Lancaster County, PA where I taught kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades. I spent my first year at WES in 4th & 5th grades, and have been in 1st grade ever since!

I am looking forward to working with you during your child's year in 1st grade!

My name is Brenda M. Rios and I have been working as an Instructional Assistant for 18 years. I joined the Wakefield Elementary 9 years ago. I attended the University of Puerto Rico and I hold a bachelor's degree in social work. While in Puerto Rico, I worked as a social worker and high school counselor for several years before moving to the United States. My husband and I have been married for 33 years and we have three wonderful kids: Javier, Adriel, and Naara. I enjoy spending time with my family. Thank you for letting me be part me of your most precious treasure, your first grader.
