McMaster Concrete Canoe is a technical team within the McMaster University Faculty of Engineering, founded, led, and run by students. This is our second season as part of the Canadian National Concrete Canoe Competition (CNCCC). Together, our team works to design, construct, and race a 20-foot canoe made completely out of concrete.
We provide a space where students of all engineering disciplines can apply theory and knowledge to create a competitive, sustainable, and innovative canoe design.
At McMaster Concrete Canoe, we are looking to innovate and learn as much as we can, while encouraging a diverse and eager group of interdisciplinary engineering students to expand their knowledge outside of the classroom. We are incredibly excited to be competing in May 2025 through the Canadian Society of Civil Engineers undergraduate Concrete Canoe Competition.
This experience will give our team members the ability to explore construction, structural, aeronautical, and material engineering topics that are rarely covered in a classroom environment, and will give them hands-on experiences that will make them even more valuable contributors to the community as early as this coming summer.
