Hi! My name is Lucy Chen and I'm currently a sophomore at Langley High School. I've been a debater for over 4 years now. I've gone to regionals twice for debate, which is something I'm really proud of. I've also broke in college debate tournaments. I have had experience with debate club in both middle and high school, so rest assured, I can help prepare your child for tryouts. My goal is to make people passionate about debate and learn to love it. Being able to debate is really a exceptional skill to have and many colleges look for that. I hope I can give everyone the opportunity to try out debate and love it as much as I do.

Hi! I’m Jasmine, I’m a sophomore at Langley and this is my second year debating and teaching about debate. Debate has taught me so many vital life skills through fun, educational experiences and I look forward to helping your children grow the way I did through debate. Your kids will not only become more outgoing but also, involved members of tomorrow’s society.

Hello! I am Anja O’Brien and I am a junior at Langley High School. I have been doing debate since my freshman year, and am now an officer of Langley’s debate team. Additionally, I have competed in regional as well as collegiate tournaments. I am motivated to help kids improve in their debate skills and have them advance at high school competitions while still having fun and being engaged in this wonderful activity! I am excited to help these students learn more about current events and what is occurring in the world around them, and hope to foster an encouraging environment where various opinions are considered.

Hello my name is Camilla Ladygine. I am a sophomore a part of Langley High School’s Debate Team. This past year I competed in Public Forum, a type of debate with a partner. I plan on debating all four years in high school as I enjoy it a lot. I admire working with kids as I have volunteered at day cares and have two younger siblings. My goal is to help prepare students for high school debate, as I felt unprepared coming into my first competitive debate. Debate is a great skill that helps students learn more about universal topics, as well as practice and becoming comfortable with public speaking.

I’m Albert Tang, a rising 8th grader at Cooper Middle School. As a participant of Lincoln Douglas Debate for 2 years, I’m currently entering my 3rd year of debate. In my debate career, I volunteered at a Lincoln Douglas Debate tournament, attended the Sunshine Debate program and had experience with Model UN. I hope to pass my passion of debating onto my peers this summer at McLean Jr. Debaters this summer!
