Meet the Librarian

Howdy! My name is Mrs. Dressel, and I am thrilled to be the librarian at McLean Middle School!

This is my 31st year in education and my 18th as a librarian. McLean is my first middle school library experience! I have three degrees from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (B.A., B.S., and M.Ed.). Geaux Cajuns! My favorite degree is my Master's in Library Science from the University of North Texas!

I am a multi-tasking reader, usually working on three or four books at a time, who loves historical fiction and the supernatural/paranormal genres. My mission is to create a welcoming space for all members of our Cardinal community.

Mr. Dressel and I will celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary this year, and we have one daughter, Katherine, who is the loudest and proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2023 (Whoop!!), a future Aggie Nurse, and a soon-to-be Former Student this December 2022!

Our two rescue torties, Okra and Roux, round out our family.
