The career I have decided to pursue is architectural engineering. This specific field has always fascinated me due to its blend of creativity and technical care. I have always been intrigued towards the structure of buildings. In the car, I would always describe the details of a given property to my mom. Creating different models, and designing ways to assemble replicas is my passion in life. Furthermore, the world of architectural and engineering plays a critical role in the shaping of buildings. I found architectural engineering as a field where I could make a noticeable difference in my community.
To better my academic level, I doubled up math my freshman year of high school. I took both Honors Geometry, and also Honors Algebra 2. Whom, I received an A throughout the year in both classes. During that same year I took Honors Biology to stay ahead in all of my subjects, passing with an A. In 8th grade I was enrolled in Computer Science, whom I also excelled with an A. I have enlisted in all Honors and Pre-AP course including Pre-Calculus and Chemistry to transcend my academics. Throughout the classes, I have learned a diverse skill set. My knowledge in math has grown greatly to benefit me in my on-going career. Teamwork is a crucial skill in succeeding in my field of choice, and these several classes have taught me just that.
I have been Class of 2028 President for my entire duration in high school. This role has taught me strong leadership, and the importance of being a good role model. I am part of the CHOICE club to help better my community with fundraisers, and community service hours. I am the Class of ‘28 representative in my school’s Student Government Association who has taught me that having organized structures can benefit the well-being of my school. I am also Co-Captain of my school’s leadership club. This club has benefited me as a person by showing me the true meaning of integrity. In addition, I am part of Principal Advisory Council (P.A.C) to benefit my school. I have played volleyball, basketball, and softball throughout my high school career. All three have taught me discipline, and commitment to my dream. Outside of my school, I am part of the St. Mary’s Association of Student Councils. This society is the head voice for all Student Governments in my country. Being a part of this association has made me stronger, and more outgoing to help others. I have also played travel softball my entire life. The sport has really grown my teamwork skills and communication with my peers. I have become a hardworking and devoted person to achieving my goals.
I plan to take several APs in my high school career to benefit me towards college. My goal is to receive credit for my prerequisites in high school, so after graduation I am able to go straight to university. The career pathway I have chosen is rarely offered at any community college. This action has led me towards a four-year university to pursue my degree. My overall goal is to obtain my bachelors in my first 4 years at university. Afterwards, I will transfer to another university to endure my masters degree in architectural engineering.
After achieving my goal of becoming an architectural engineer I would like to give back to my home community. I plan to get involved with construction projects in my area. My hope is to build a structured and well rounded community with some of my designs. I would like to better the scenery in my area, and have diversity in my work. The outlook of the buildings is not the end of the project, but sustainability is also crucial. By designing formations that are environmentally friendly and energy-efficient, I am able to lay out a more inclusive society. My job is to enhance the quality of life in cities, or even towns. I plan to contribute positively to my community by creating functional, but beautiful buildings for everyone. Making a difference in the world is a high goal for me in my career. This moral is important to me because I want to give back to my society after everything it has shown me in my academic journey.
