“Good design is all about making other designers feel like idiots because that idea wasn't theirs."
My name is Peyton McKenzie, and I am a Graphic & Interactive Design student at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.
I have always been a very hands-on and methodical person. When I am told that something is incorrect, I look for a tangible reason why. I also pay close attention to detail and keep organized; many would call me a perfectionist. For these reasons, I never believed that there was a place for me in a creative field. Despite my expansive imagination, I never believed I was “free-flowing” enough. However, graphic design allows me to fuel my creativity while sticking to certain bounds which make design perform its function properly.
I have spent a lot of time designing both inside and outside of a school setting. I am studying graphic design in order to pursue it as a career in the future. I hope to pair my passion with advertising in order to eventually create advertisements for a large corporation such as Nike or Apple.
When I am not working on my passion which is graphic design, I spend time doing one of my many other hobbies. These include, but are not limited to, photography, golf, running, hiking, and just being outside.
