The Midwest City High School Library exists to provide books and other informational resources, including electronic and multimedia, to meet the informational needs, interests, and enlightenment of students, staff, and the community. The Library aspires to teach students to be critical thinkers, encourage students to be enthusiastic readers, and to instruct students to be skillful and ethical consumers and creators of information.
The Midwest City High School Library seeks to create a 21st Century learning environment with equitable access to all students, staff, and community members. The library seeks to create a safe, open, and inviting library learning commons fundamental to student achievement and citizenship in an interconnected world, while supporting the principles of academic and intellectual freedom.
