I've had many interests and inspirations in my life, but one thing that has really pushed me down my creative path was the game Undertale. I discovered that game at a young age and became obsessed. At that time, It probably wasnt even the story of Undertale itself, but rather the communities and fanworks that I got to witness inspired me to make my own things.
I dabbled in art and animation, but it turns out that music and programming are on top for me. Both of those things are things I do because of Undertale. I'm glad to have been part of the UT/DR community for over a decade now and am glad to see Toby Fox's dream approach completion. I hope to be a more active member.
If I learned nothing at all from the Undertale series except one thing, it's the hidden power of storytelling within music and gameplay. Sure, maybe I should've played more games and I would've reached that conclusion elsewhere, but that's just my circumstance. Music is a medium of art, and where there is art, there can be a narrative. Music can be used in tandem with visual media to create subtle but powerful connection between different things, hence, leitmotifs. Even within the context of a single piece, music is able to tell a story by resonating with certain vibes that we all share. It's beautiful, really.
I also have a project I'm working on called "Dusk of Heleia" that's still in the depths of the brain prison, slowly mining its way through the Obsidian software to freedom.
Oh wait, you wanted to learn about... me? Well, I've played clarinet/bass clarinet for 7 years and have some crude skills on the piano. Most of my music passion is in composition.
