Welcome!

Hi! My name is Ms. McGovern and I grew up in Avenel.  I graduated from Rutgers University with both my Bachelors and Masters degree in Education.  In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, travel, go on hikes, go to LBI and most of all-spend time with my two silly dogs: Shea and Sheila.  

I taught 4th grade for 6 years in another district and this will be my third year teaching 5th grade at Ross Street.   I will be working with both Ms. Ludlow for Reading and Writing, and Mr. Reed for Math. 

I just know we are going to have an amazing 2023-2024 school year!!
