Welcome to the MCFR Paramedic Application Portal. This site should serve as your “one-stop-shop” for all things related to the application process for the upcoming 2025/2026 paramedic cohort. And this page specifically, is your primer for successful entry into the program.
As you navigate your way through this process, please be sure to read and adhere to any instructions provided as your application will have several components which must be received in a specific order. Application components that are received out of order will result in an incomplete submission and cannot be considered in the entrance process.
The first thing to understand about this program is that it is competitive in nature. Due simply to the fact that there are a limited number of seats in the classroom. Applicants will be selected based on individual merit that is earned in Phase 1 of the application process; through the entrance exam and writing assignments. Additionally, we strive to gain a wholistic understanding of the applicant through additional components within Phase 2 of this process. So, it would be highly beneficial for one to view this as a job interview.

Navigate to the "Learn More" page and explore the FAQ's, entrance exam, and accreditation links. These will help you formulate questions to bring to one of the virtual town hall meetings. Had I not mentioned the town hall meetings before? Interestingly enough, they are your second step in the process.

Complete Part 1 of your application packet from the "Submission Page" no later than Friday, May 16, 2025 at 1700 HRS.

Complete the writing assignment (Part 2 of your application packet) from the "Submission Page" prior to receiving permission to sit for the Entrance Exam.

After advancing past the first program review, select applicants will be invited to participate in a BLS teach-back exercise, and panel interview. All interviews and practical evolutions will be conducted at the Training Academy. More information can be found at the link below:
