About The Metropolitan Council of Educational Administration Programs (MCEAP)

The Metropolitan Council of Educational Administration Programs (MCEAP) is an association of 20+ educational leadership preparation programs in the greater NYC metropolitan area. Our organization meets multiple times a year to discuss issues – policy and programmatic – focusing on the preparation of school and district level leaders in the New York Metro area.

 

Member universities and colleges include over 20 institutions with leadership preparation programs from across Westchester, New York City, and Long Island.


MCEAP meets quarterly--Fall, Winter, and Spring--during the academic year. 


Mission

The Metropolitan Council of Educational Administration Programs (MCEAP) is a consortium of professors of educational administration, leadership, and supervision in the greater metropolitan New York City area. Its primary purpose is to provide an active forum to enhance the preparation of leaders in the area of educational administration and supervision. The MCEAP is an affiliate of the New York State Collegiate Association for the Development of Educational Administration (CADEA).

 

Preamble: We, who prepare school administrators, leaders and supervisors, are responsible for the development of educational leaders who deal with current and vital issues in a realistic, effective and ethical manner. Paramount, always, is a realization that this membership must bear responsibility for the development and maintenance of high quality education for all children.
