The University of Salford was awarded for excellence in sustainability, specifically our Peel Green Team was awarded the Innovation for Engagement award for our innovative work and contribution to helping our campus become a more sustainable environment.
BioBlitz in Peel Park, Salford.
The BioBlitz event was run over two days with the main aim to identify as many species as possible over a 24hr period in Peel Park. It was hosted by The Salford Rangers and University's Wildlife Society, our team trained local volunteers how to use and deploy small mammal traps to see what species we could find.
