My name is Lily McClure and I'm a visual art teacher at Sara Collins Elementary. I graduated from Appalachian State University, located in Boone North Carolina, with a BFA in art education. I have taught art with preschool through high school, both in North and South Carolina. I hope to build an inclusive classroom that fosters improved self-esteem, emotional expression, as well as an appreciation of diversity. I strongly believe that art is often the answer in education, both improving confidence and visual literacy. My own artwork varies from print making, ceramics, paper making, drawing, and metals. Along with my love of teaching and art, some of my favorite activites include hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
