Building on the long-standing partnership between the two sister institutions, this program successfully welcomed Fariz, a student from King Mongkut's University of Technology (KMUTT), Thailand, to conduct an international internship at the Environmental Biotechnology Laboratory. Since forming a sister-school relationship in 2018, KMUTT and Ming Chi University of Technology have engaged in various collaborations—such as academic visits, research exchanges (2021), and MCUT student internships at KMUTT (2023)—establishing a solid foundation for continued cooperation.
Through this year’s TEEP program, the international intern gained a deeper understanding of our department’s research environment, while also helping enhance our international visibility. Although not enrolled in formal courses, the student actively participated in laboratory activities, observed research facilities and workflows, and provided highly positive feedback. His experience reflects the department’s strong capacity to attract international students.
Looking forward, we hope to invite more students from Thailand and other countries for short- and long-term research stays, further strengthening collaboration in research, student exchange, and international internships, and elevating the global presence of our university and department.
