An Historic Farmland Preservation Project for a 4th Generation Minnesota Family
Mission
McCarthy Family Habitat Forever Foundation is a non-profit community organization dedicated to the preservation of the McCarthy Farm and its expansive and environmentally sensitive green space.
The mission of McCarthy Family Habitat Forever Foundation is to:
Promote the protection of the historic McCarthy Family Farm;
Support the preservation of uncultivated areas of the farm, leaving them in their natural, undeveloped state;
Maintain incoming funds from the McCarthy Family Habitat Forever Foundation to support the farm and its associated projects;
Provide information to the community for a greater awareness and appreciation of the historic McCarthy Family Farm as well as Eagan's Core Greenway.
The Eagan Core Greenway represents over 400 acres found along a two mile length of undeveloped, open space between Patrick Eagan Park and Lebanon Hills Park to the south;
Organize and encourage volunteer participation on behalf of the farm, while promoting stewardship and ecological studies;
Reflect and represent the views of a multiplicity of farm visitors and beneficiaries;
Collaborate with other local environmentally minded groups and schools to strengthen our network of green space preservation resources.
