The primary goal of the Marian Central Catholic Athletic Booster Club is to provide both resources and exposure to our student athletes so that they can have the best experience possible while participating in athletics at Marian. A secondary goal is to provide both parents and alumni an avenue to socialize and connect, along with a way to give back to the school either financially and/or through a volunteer role. The MCC Booster Club has a number of membership options that supporters of MCC athletics can choose from to help raise funds and awareness for student athletes.

APRIL

Christine Chmiel- Senior, Varsity Softball

Christine Chmiel has been selected as Marian's Female Athlete of the Month in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments, leadership, and commitment to the varsity softball program.

A dominant force in the circle throughout her high school career, Christine has recorded more than 800 strikeouts, an incredible milestone that reflects both her talent and dedication to the sport. This season alone, she has posted an impressive 1.49 ERA while recording 275 strikeouts, consistently giving her team an opportunity to compete and succeed at the highest level.

Beyond her statistical achievements, Christine's impact on the Marian softball program is evident through her leadership. A three-year team captain, she leads by example every day through her work ethic, preparation, and positive attitude. Christine is always willing to help her teammates improve and accomplish their goals, making those around her better both on and off the field.

What truly sets Christine apart is her character. She treats everyone with respect, including coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials. She never complains about unfavorable calls or mistakes made during the game, instead maintaining a positive and team-focused mindset. Her composure, sportsmanship, and maturity make her a role model for younger athletes and an outstanding representative of Marian Athletics.

Christine's success has earned her the opportunity to continue her academic and athletic career at University of Dayton, where she will play softball on scholarship. This achievement is a testament to the hard work, perseverance, and dedication she has demonstrated throughout her high school career.

Christine's remarkable accomplishments, leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment to excellence make her a truly deserving choice for Athlete of the Month. Congratulations, Christine, on this well-earned recognition.

Mac Delozier – Sophomore, Varsity Bass Fishing

Mac Delozier has been named our Male Athlete of the Month for April. As a sophomore on the varsity bass fishing team, Mac has distinguished himself through his leadership, dedication, and enthusiasm for the sport.

In addition to being our most active contributor on Remind, Mac has attended every practice, organized several team outings, and brought positive energy to the program even before the season began. From researching and pre-fishing the Spring Grove Hatchery to representing the team on Lake Geneva, Mac's passion for bass fishing has been contagious.

Despite not coming from a fishing-obsessed family, Mac has developed into an outstanding angler and leader for Marian's bass fishing team. His commitment extends far beyond competition. He has even taken the initiative to research the possibility of securing a second boat for our regional tournament.

To date, Mac holds the largest bass caught during team practices and is likely leading the team in overall catch numbers as well. What makes his contributions especially meaningful is that he has never been asked to do many of these things—he simply does them out of a genuine love for the sport and a desire to help the team succeed.

Mac is also an active participant in his church community, and his willingness to serve others was evident in his contribution to my friend's father's wake at St. Patrick's.

Mac's dedication, leadership, and selfless commitment make him highly deserving of this recognition. Congratulations, Mac, on being named Marian's Male Athlete of the Month for April.
