Hi, my name is Manuel Cañizares. I am a postdoctoral researcher at RICAM, as part of the Inverse Problems and Mathematical Imaging group, where I am working in regularization of inverse problems related to astronomy.
I was formerly a PhD student at BCAM, where I was working in analytical inverse problems and their interaction with harmonic analysis. My thesis was focused in the identifiability of electric Hamiltonians in diverse physical settings, such as scattering at fixed energy or Schrödinger evolution equations. I obtained my PhD degree by the University of the Basque Country (EHU) in October 2024 under the supervision of Pedro Caro.
I obtained bachelor's degrees in physics and mathematics at Universidad de Sevilla in 2018, and a master's degree in physical mathematics (Máster Interuniversitario FISyMAT) at Universidad de Granada in 2020.
Here, you can find my Curriculum, list of Publications and Dissemination events.
Outside of mathematics, I consider myself an outdoor enthusiast, failed surfer and aspiring climber.
