Class Expectations

Punctuality

  • Assignments for each day of the week with be uploaded every Monday morning at 8:30 am in Google Classroom.

  • The assignments will be due every week, Sunday at 11:59 pm, which means you have the entire week + the weekend to get your classwork turned-in.

  • Late work will be accepted with a 10% deduction in points each day it is late. Work that is over 10 school days late cannot receive more than half credit on the assignment and may or may not be graded depending on the nature of the assignment.

Assignments

  • Assignments should be submitted through Google Classroom using the "turn-in" button on the upper right side of the assignment page.

  • Always due on Sunday at 11:59 pm.

  • For assignments that will be graded according to mastery, often a rubric will be assigned with the task to show what it looks like to have mastered the content on the assignment.

  • For assignments that will be graded according to effort and participation a student must:

-use language that is academic & in complete sentences.

- show effort by using the skills and language we have been using in class to show what you know!

- be original (copied work will be given a 0, no exceptions)


Google Meet:

  • On Wednesdays, I will have several opportunities to sign-up and meet with small groups (<10 students) to discuss content and receive help with the weekly assignments. This can be done either virtually on Google Meets or in person. Sign-up for these in-person visits by communicating with me via email.

  • Every Wednesday there will a Google Meet session available for students to join and ask questions or receive help on a virtual assignment.
