Settings & Triggers

Recommended Settings

  • turning brightness to 50%

  • turning player sound to 100%, blocks to 50%, master to 100%, and everything else to 0%

  • render distance to 11

  • disabling resource packs

  • use a communication program (i.e. Discord, Skype, etc) to group voice call or face call

  • turn off unnecessary active programs that may be running in the background to prevent unnecessary lag

Trigger Commands

Werewolf has many triggers, with their primary goal to provide easy optimization. The triggers and their functions are as follows:

/trigger Reboot

  • Requests a game reset. A different player must agree within 10 seconds or the reboot will fail. Reboot can be used to cancel a game that was about to start, stop a game that is in progress without affecting win rates, and can also be used to debug the game.

/trigger Help set #

  • Insert a number 1-4 where it says #. Each page provides in-game information on triggers.

/trigger CostumeX

  • Insert a name

/trigger SFXOn/SFXOff

  • Toggle whether you can hear custom ingame SFX.

/trigger RoleToggle

  • Toggle which roles can or cannot appear in game.

/trigger RoleTogglesOn/RoleTogglesOff

  • While disabled, gameplay will not be affected by roles disabled from /trigger RoleToggle. This is off by default.

/trigger CompOn/CompOff

  • Toggle competitive mode. Competitive games will have stats tracked.

/trigger RoleSpecsOn/RoleSpecsOff

  • Toggle whether post-game will reveal players' exact roles (Clairvoyant, Archwolf, Angel, etc) or will only show teams (Villagers, Werewolves, Factions)

/trigger RoleBalanceOn/RoleBalanceOff

  • Toggle whether the game will disable certain roles and auto-balance teams based on the number of players. i.e. while disabled, the White Werewolf, which normally requires 10 players to become available, could appear in a 6 player game. Furthermore, while there are normally 4 villagers and 2 non-villagers assigned in a 6 player game, there could be 5 werewolves and only 1 villager in a game with role balance disabled.

/trigger Mayortime set #

  • Insert a number 1-12 where it says #. This will be the new time limit - in minutes - for the mayor election. This is 2 by default.

/trigger Lynchtime set #

  • Insert a number 1-12 where it says #. This will be the new time limit for the lynching. This # is 6 by default.

/trigger PeasantMax set #

  • Insert a number -1 or 1-22 where it says #. Set the most amount of Peasants that can appear in game. Peasants are Villagers without any powers. This # is -1 by default, which disables Peasants entirely.

/trigger RoleRevealOn/RoleRevealOff

  • While on, players will have their roles publicly revealed after dying.

/trigger Roleinfo

  • Get a description of your role in the chat. Only works if you are in-game with an assigned role.

/trigger Stats

  • Get information about your competitive stats - win rates, games played, etc

/trigger Settings

  • Get information on settings in game - whether competitive is enabled, mayor lynch time, etc. Default settings are as follows:

  • Mayortime: 2 minutes (/trigger Mayortime set 2)

  • Lynchtime: 6 minutes (/trigger Lynchtime set 6)

  • SFX: Enabled (/trigger SFXOn)

  • Competitive: Enabled (/trigger CompOn)

  • Role Specifics: Enabled (/trigger RoleSpecsOn)

  • Role Balance: Enabled (/trigger RoleBalanceOn)

  • Role Toggles: Disabled (/trigger RoleTogglesOff)
