2021 Goals
As we step into 2021, the Working Group has decided to take on goals in 5 different categories...
Community Advancement
Through this category, we will continue to pursue activities and conduct events aimed at enhancing the Model Based Systems Engineering community in India. This includes running trainings and study groups for beginners, sharing latest developments throughout the globe, as well as sharing of best practices and networking amongst practitioners in industry.
Some planned activities include:
An MBSE Study Group
MBSE quizzes
#SysML4fun
Webinars
Collaboration
Through this category, we intend to actively reach out and collaborate with Global INCOSE and MBSE related groups, to support projects/initiatives of common interest. This will also provide an opportunity for the working group members to work closely with counterparts across the globe.
Some potential collaborations include:
INCOSE Smart Cities Initiative
OpenMBEE initiative
Other INCOSE chapters or working groups
Technical Contribution
We also intend to advance the state-of-the-art of the MBSE practice by creating Technical Work Products for the consumption of MBSE practitioners in India and across the globe. We also intend to work towards building training material and tutorials for colleges and beginners, as well as well as conducting research and publishing articles in technical conferences.
Some planned products include:
Technical Product based on Smart Parking Reference Architecture
MBSE patterns for specific industry sub-systems
SysML v2 evaluation using a demonstrative example
Quizzes and problem sets for certification study
Articles for conferences
Social Impact
Many group members are interested in making contributions to the society using their MBSE expertise. We wish to channelize these efforts towards one or two specific projects this year.
Some potential activities include:
Conducting a student competition
Engaging with local Smart City office
Participating in Indian Government Hackathon challenge
Working on INCOSE Grand Challenge
Efficient Administration
This year, we also intend to make it easier for our members to engage with the working group and contribute to activities of their interest.
Towards that end, we are:
Publishing a common calendar to give a bird's eye view of all the planned activities
Enhancing our web presence through a common website, active use of LinkedIn and other social media platforms
Tracking participation and feedback to enhance quality and engagement
