Scientific Context.

In the context of a population that will reach 9 billion people in 2050 and global warming that threatens global food production, understanding the fundamental mechanisms that govern plant resilience to environmental constraints is a major challenge for tomorrow.

Here we wish to start a biennal rendez-vous of the scientific communities working on the fundamental aspects of plant science that may result in improving i) plant resilience and ii) sustainable agricultural practices.

The focus of this first symposium in Montpellier will be on plant Nutrition and Development.
