All the math club students participate in the AMC 8.
The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills. The AMC 8 provides an opportunity for middle school students to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics that can assist in future careers. Students apply classroom skills to unique problem-solving challenges in a low-stress and friendly environment.

A group of 10 or 20 students will be selected to participate in the AMC 10.
The AMC 10 is 25-question, 75-minute, multiple choice examinations in high school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills. The AMC 10 is for students in 10th grade and below, and covers the high school curriculum up to 10th grade. Students in grade 10 or below and under 17.5 years of age on the day of the contest can take the AMC 10. The AMC 10/12 is the first in a series of competitions that eventually lead all the way to the International Mathematical Olympiad.

San Diego Math Field Day is an annual middle school math competition that has been running for almost 50 years, providing a venue of friendly competition to encourage interest in math and STEM fields for middle school students throughout San Diego County.

Held at Westview High School, 9:30am to 3:00pm, Saturday in April
A math tournament for elementary and middle schoolers, organized by the Math Club at Westview High School. Students can compete in Individual, Team, and Buzzer rounds.
All elementary and middle school students from around San Diego are invited to attend.
Questions are written by Westview High School students with several years of competition experience.
We are NOT participating in Wolverine Math Tournament but individuals can participate through the website.
MOEMS is a math problem solving contests for teams of up to 35 students in grades 4 through 8.
We are NOT participating in MOEMS.
