Welcome to MBLEx Test Prep, a mobile application developed by JanoGroup LLC that helps users prepare for the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination with practice questions, explanations, study tools, reminders, progress features, and optional premium features.
This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored, shared, and protected when you install or use the App. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
## Examination and Licensing Disclaimer
The App is an independent educational study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, or produced by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards, any examination provider, any massage therapy licensing board, or any government agency.
Practice questions and explanations are independently prepared educational content and are not actual MBLEx questions. They may not match the exact wording, format, difficulty, or content of an official examination. Using the App does not guarantee that you will pass an examination, qualify for licensure, or satisfy state requirements.
You are responsible for reviewing current information from the appropriate official examination and licensing authorities.
## Information We Collect
### Personal Information
The App does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, phone number, precise location, government identification, professional license number, examination registration information, or payment-card details.
The App may create a random app-user identifier on your device. This identifier supports subscriptions, access status, analytics, troubleshooting, and other App functionality. It is not intended to identify you by name.
### Local Data Storage
Core study functionality runs on your device. The App may store information locally, including:
- Study progress and question history
- Quiz results, scores, and review status
- Mastered, uncertain, missed, or flagged question status
- App settings and preferences
- Onboarding choices and study goals
- Notification preferences and reminder times
- Premium access status cached from the subscription provider
This information is used to provide and personalize App features. If your device or operating system backs up App data, that backup is controlled by your platform, device, or cloud-backup settings.
### Device and App Information
The App and its service providers may process limited technical information needed for functionality, analytics, subscriptions, advertising, security, and troubleshooting, including:

- Device platform, operating-system version, and device model

## Subscriptions and Purchases
The App may offer optional premium features, subscriptions, trials, or purchases. Purchases are processed by the applicable app marketplace, such as Apple App Store or Google Play, and subscription access may be managed through RevenueCat.
JanoGroup LLC does not receive or store your complete payment-card number, bank-account information, or full billing credentials. App marketplaces and payment providers process purchase details under their own terms and privacy policies.
RevenueCat may receive information needed to manage subscription status, such as a random app-user identifier, product identifiers, entitlement status, purchase status, and transaction metadata.
## Advertising
The App may display advertisements through Google AdMob to users who do not have an ad-free premium experience.
AdMob and related advertising services may process device information, advertising identifiers, approximate location inferred from network information, ad interactions, and consent information as described in Google’s policies.
On iOS, the App may request App Tracking Transparency permission before using tracking-related advertising identifiers. You may control tracking and ad personalization through your device settings. Premium users may receive an ad-free experience where offered.
## Notifications
If you enable study reminders, the App may schedule notifications on your device. Notification preferences, reminder times, and related settings may be stored locally.
You can modify or disable notifications at any time through the App or your device settings. Notification access is not required to use the App’s core study features.
## Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services for subscriptions, advertising, app distribution, analytics, platform functionality, device information, notifications, app reviews, and sharing. These services may process information according to their own privacy policies.

JanoGroup LLC does not sell your name, contact information, study results, or locally stored study history.

## Data Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information handled by the App. However, no app, device, network, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for protecting your device through appropriate security settings, such as a passcode, password, biometric lock, and current operating-system updates.
## Data Retention
Local study data remains on your device unless you delete it, reset App data, uninstall the App, or your device removes it.
Subscription records may be retained by app marketplaces, RevenueCat, or related providers as needed for purchase validation, customer support, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
Analytics and diagnostic information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to improve the App, support users, enforce policies, comply with legal obligations, and maintain reliable service.

You may:
- Disable notifications or change reminder times
- Limit tracking or ad personalization through device settings
- Accept or decline App Tracking Transparency permission where applicable
- Manage subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play
- Delete the App to remove locally stored App data, subject to platform backup behavior

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
