The workshop

The 6th edition of the Workshop in Macro Banking and Finance is hosted by the University of Sassari at the Department of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning in Alghero (SS).

The workshop (kindly sponsored by the UniCredit Foundation) continues the tradition of yearly meetings among macro-monetary, banking, and financial economists. Our goal is to promote synergies, foster interaction, and develop joint research projects between researchers and institutions.

Young economist best paper award

We encourage the participation to the workshop by young researchers and PhD students close to their thesis completion. To this end, UniCredit Foundation will confer two young economist best paper awards of EUR 1,500 each. For a paper to be eligible for the award, all its co-authors must be born after 1982, and the applicant must be either citizen of one of the 14 countries^[1] where UniCredit is present or currently employed or enrolled in a PhD program at a university or institution located in any of those 14 countries.
