The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based test for admission in a graduate management program. CAT consists of three sections, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Ability (QA). The exam is taken online over a period of three hours, with one hour per section. The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) started this exam and use the test for selecting students for their business administration programs (MBA or PGDM). The test is conducted every year by one of the IIMs on rotation basis.

All the Top 100 B-Schools, apart from 20 IIMs, in India are accepting CAT score for MBA admission 2021.

Top CAT B-Schools include FMS Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, SPJIMR Mumbai, IIT Mumbai, IIT Delhi, T. A. Pai Management Institute Manipal, International Management Institute New Delhi, Doon Business School Dehradun, Indian School of Business Hyderabad among others. In addition, more than 200 other B-schools and Universities are also accepting CAT Scores.
