See the full programme here.
Highlights include:
Lecture: Britain, Ireland, Palestine, Israel by the Palestinian-American Historian Rashid Khalidi;
Screening of the award-winning and Oscar-nominated The Voice of Hind Rajab (ticketed fundraiser);
Panel Discussion: Sport and Palestinian Solidarity with guests Philly McMahon (Dublin Footballer), Rebecca O'Keeffe (Basketball International) and Leah O'Shaughnessy (Good Counsel-Liffey Gaels Footballer/Camogie Player);
A celebratory closing event: Gig for Gaza (ticketed fundraiser).
The festival is a collaboration between the staff and students of Maynooth University. It was prompted by our collective outrage at the genocide unfolding in Gaza, following decades of repression of the Palestinian people, and the refusal of the university leadership even to acknowledge, let alone condemn, those obscenities. The festival is supported by many departments, unions, and individuals on campus (see here), and we would like to express our gratitide for their support.
