Dogs

Training starts at the end of April! Calendars with training dates and event dates were handed out at the mandatory meetings. If you still need a copy please email Emily Holuntunder at eholentunder@gmail.com. 

For anyone new to the project, the usual meeting places at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds are shown on the map below. Agility and rally will meet in the northeast corner of the fairgrounds, in the parking area behind the horse warm-up arena. Obedience and showmanship will meet for announcements by the white food stand, next to the Coliseum and M&R building.

The first training nights with dogs are May 5th (agility and rally) and May 7th (obedience and showmanship). Everyone is required to pick up after your dog. You are also responsible for bringing water for yourself and your dog. 

We will have equipment available for the first few weeks of training. Everyone training in obedience is required to use a 6 foot leather leash and a choke chain/slip chain, unless you have been approved by the project board to use other equipment. 

Dog project apparel orders are due by Friday, May 1st.
