A Presentation About the Mechanical Engineering Field

What exactly is engineering? What around us is engineered? This project was meant to teach us about the different types of engineering fields and what it means exactly to be an engineer.

For this certain project, we had to choose our favorite engineering field and research what they do, their historical contribution to society, the job outlook, salary, and the career path.

The purpose of engineering is to create products that make our lives easier or enhance them, and almost everything that is man-made is engineered. These products can range from simple scissors to healthcare products to factory machines that manufacture clothes.

All engineering fields must be able to apply principles of math and science to problem solve, but their problems are what differentiates the fields. There are 4 major fields: chemical, civil, electrical, and mechanical, and the other fields can either fit into these categories, be an extension, or be a combination of these fields.
