For this project, our group wanted to create a scooter that was fun and novel. After much deliberation, we decided the best way to increase the "fun factor" was to create a multi-person scooter.

Our final design combined the single-person Swivel Scooter and the tea cup amusement ride, with the idea being that users could ride side-by-side in a straight line, or spin around each other.

Improvements: 

• Make the design collapsable to afford portability

• Modify the design such that scooters can be used individually

• Add brakes

• Use stronger materials (ex: aluminum, steel, plastic…)

Struggles:

• Front-wheel attachment

  • The wood used was not strong and was therefore unable to withstand operating forces

• Buying the correct type and amount of materials

  • Maximizing the small budget we had and minimizing the trips to the hardware store
