Curriculum Vitae

Short Bio

I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Econometrics and Statistics at the Universität zu Köln. I earned my Ph.D. in Economics from Freie Universität (FU) Berlin and the German Institute of Economic Research (DIW Berlin) Graduate Center (Supervisors: Prof. Dr. Dieter Nautz and Prof. Dr. Helmut Lütkepohl). During my dissertation, I contributed to the DFG-funded research project "The Anchoring of Inflation Expectations" at the Chair of Econometrics at FU Berlin.

I hold an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Economics from FU Berlin. During my studies, I worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Chair of Econometrics at FU Berlin. I also studied at Université Pierre Mendès-France (UPMF) in Grenoble and participated in the Open Source Macroeconomics Laboratory (OSM Lab) computational boot camp at the University of Chicago in the summer of 2017 as a student researcher.

In my research, I apply Structural Vector Autoregressions and state space models, such as Multivariate Unobserved Components Models and Stochastic Volatility Models, to study inflation dynamics and the role of inflation expectations in monetary policy and the macroeconomy more generally.
