PhD Thesis: Manufacturing Acceptance; Erasing Inconvenience: Examining State Ownership of the Australian Nuclear Veteran
This project aims to investigate the experiences of former members of the Australian defence forces who participated in, or were present at, the British nuclear tests held in Australia between 1952 and 1963. By interviewing former servicemen involved with the testing and their immediate relatives, the project aims to re-introduce servicemen’s own experience with the British nuclear testing and their perception of its impact on their lives after service to the existing history of nuclear testing in Australia.
I am seeking to interview former servicemen and their family members about their experience in the British testing in Australia. A detailed description of the project is available to download. If you are interested in the project, please feel free to email me!
