VACA MECHANICAL LLC (“we,” “us,” or “Developer”) provides the Android application Max Sports also referred to as MAX Sports (“App”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, when it may be transmitted to third parties, and the choices available to users.
With your permission, the App may access your approximate or precise device location when you use the “Nearby” feature.
Location coordinates are used to:
Find nearby stadiums, sports centers, fitness facilities, and other sports locations.
Calculate distances to nearby locations.
Display local air-quality information.
Location access occurs only after you grant Android location permission and request the relevant feature. The App does not track your location in the background.
Coordinates may be transmitted through encrypted connections to Open-Meteo and the Overpass API/OpenStreetMap infrastructure. We do not receive or store your location on a VACA MECHANICAL LLC server.
The App allows you to scan food-product barcodes. Scanning is performed through Google Code Scanner provided by Google Play services. Image processing occurs on the device, and the App does not receive or store camera images.
The detected barcode number may be submitted to Open Food Facts to retrieve product information. Google states that Google Code Scanner does not store scanning results or image data. More information is available in the Google Code Scanner documentation.
You may optionally provide a nickname and select an avatar image from your device.
This information is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to or stored on our servers. The App accesses only the image you explicitly select using the Android photo picker.
Your nickname may be included in posters generated by the App. Posters are saved or shared only when you initiate those actions.
The App may store the following information locally:
Nickname, avatar reference, theme, and accessibility preferences.
Cached sports matches, standings, team information, and other content.
Temporary network and image caches.
Posters generated or saved by you.
Local information remains on your device until it is changed, deleted, cleared through Android settings, or removed by uninstalling the App. Posters saved to your device may remain in your gallery after uninstalling the App and must be deleted separately.
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you voluntarily provide.
We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support, protect our legal rights, or comply with applicable law. Support correspondence may be processed by our email service provider and retained for as long as reasonably necessary.
When the App connects to external services, those services may automatically receive standard network information such as:
IP address.
Request time.
Requested content or parameters.
App user-agent information.
Basic connection, security, and diagnostic information.
We do not use advertising identifiers, create advertising profiles, or operate our own analytics system.
The App uses external services to provide its features, including:
API-Sports, ESPN, and OpenLigaDB for sports information.
Open-Meteo for weather and air-quality information.
Overpass API and OpenStreetMap data for nearby sports locations.
Open Food Facts for food-product information.
Wikipedia and Wikimedia services for informational content.
Google Play services and Google Code Scanner for barcode scanning.
Cloudflare DNS for secure resolution of certain image-hosting domains.
External image-hosting services referenced by content providers.
These services process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their policies before using features that rely on them.
If you open a location in an external map application or share a poster through another application, the selected application will receive the information you choose to send. That application’s privacy policy will apply.
Information accessed by the App is used only to:
Provide requested App features and content.
Display nearby sports facilities and environmental information.
Retrieve sports, food-product, weather, and reference information.
Save preferences and improve the local user experience.
Generate and share posters at your request.
Respond to support requests.
Maintain security and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. The App does not contain third-party advertising or behavioral analytics and does not use personal information for targeted advertising.
VACA MECHANICAL LLC does not maintain a centralized user-account database for the App.
You can delete or control App data by:
Changing or removing your nickname or avatar in the App.
Revoking location permission through Android settings.
Clearing the App’s storage or cache through Android settings.
Deleting generated posters from your device.
Uninstalling the App.
External service providers may retain network requests or technical logs according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
If you contact us by email, you may request deletion of your support correspondence by using the contact information below, subject to any information we must retain for legal or security purposes.
The App uses encrypted HTTPS connections when communicating with external services. Local App data is protected by Android’s application sandbox and device security controls.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may:
Refuse or revoke location permission without losing access to unrelated App features.
Choose whether to scan a barcode.
Choose whether to select a profile photo.
Decide whether to save or share generated content.
Clear locally stored App data at any time.
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights regarding access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to the processing of personal information. To exercise applicable rights, contact us using the email address below.
Because most App information is stored only on your device and is not associated with an account, we may not possess data that can be identified as belonging to you.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App does not require users to create an account or submit their age.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information directly to us, please contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features, data practices, legal requirements, or third-party services change.
The updated version will be identified by a new effective date. Continued use of the App after an update means that the revised policy applies.
