Max-Niklas Steffen

I am a doctoral researcher in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Hamburg, working under the supervision of Christoph Schweigert. 

I study topological quantum field theories (TQFTs) with defects and related algebraic structures. My work lies at the interface of topology, algebra, and mathematical physics. 

Previously, I completed my master’s thesis on categorical aspects of vertex operator algebras, supervised by Ingo Runkel.
