career goal narrative
I am interested in the implantation of nuclear energy into the household. Since I was young I have been fascinated by nuclear energy. I have always wanted to be an engineer since I was a kid. For as long as I can remember I was a tinkerer, I come from a family of engineers and would help them. I knew as soon as I started that this was for me. From fixing engines to repairing farm equipment I have always loved the ability to make and repair.
I have done coding classes as well as done mentoring with my family to help achieve my dream of becoming an engineer. I am taking advanced math and engineering courses to help me facilitate my goal. I have worked hard to give myself real experience. I have learned basic coding skills as well as advanced mathematics. I take my goals seriously and have worked hard to give myself an edge in education. I take my education seriously. That is why I have worked hard to educate myself inside and outside the classroom.
My aspirations have led me to extracurricular activities. I have done many programs from boy scouts to a phenomenal program called RoboBees. These were incredibly informative and taught The Boy Scouts taught me about self responsibility, they place a special value on creating people who can work well inside of a ruleset. This gave me a special experience that combined discipline with personal skills. The program RoboBees is a robotics program that encourages out of the box thinking to solve problems using a team made robot. Combining these two has given me the skills to think outside of the box without “stepping on other people's toes”.
My plan after high school is to either go to a college or join the United States military. I come from a family with decorated military service in the Navy and Airforce. During or after a potential career in the military I would pursue an engineering degree with military aid. I would be proud to follow in the footsteps of my grandfathers but my dream is to pursue an engineering career either way. If I am ineligible or decided to go to engineering school not included in an military run program I would attend at least a four year college and would apply for a nuclear, aerospace, or general engineering degree.
I would work to better my community by creating something to make it cleaner like nuclear or other fossil fuel alternatives to better our great planet. I hope I can work to better my community by helping on a small scale to implement healthy and environmentally friendly practices for all members of my community. I don't just want to improve my community, I want to improve my entire society and then the world. I would like to not only make a healthy green lifestyle available, but popular too. I can only dream of a better society aided by my efforts in any small part I may add. I believe that everyone can make a difference. In conclusion, I know I will do my best to make a positive change in the world. I can say with confidence that I will make a difference.
