HigherEdJobs is but one resource. When on the search, this is a great place to start. LinkedIn and Indeed are great for finding potential jobs. I always encourage new student affairs professionals to find a school who is posting on one of many sites and then go directly to their Human Resources/Careers/Hiring pages to see what all is available! Sometimes the external job boards are not up-to-date but the HR pages generally are.
Seek is dominantly for those seeking opportunities in Oceania (Australia and New Zealand) and some parts of South East Asia. It requires an account, however it is free to utilize. If you are considering a job abroad, you will need a work visa first generally before they will consider you as an applicant.
TEFL is for those who desire to teach English as their first language. There are different tiers for the TEFL certificates and there are global opportunities for persons interested. You do not need to speak the language of the country you go to although it may make landing a role or conversing easier.
Be aware of SCAMS. Job postings or recruiters will never ask for highly identifiable information such as your SSN/TIN or financial information. One thing to know about higher education, know that Human Resources takes ages. If you apply and get a quick response, use critical thinking to ensure you are not being scammed. Red flags such as condescending tone, communication is not conducted through a secure service (i.e., non-domain emails or unencrypted texts), very insistent on you doing/completing/saving something are key things to keep an eye open for. This is not an exhaustive list: use critical thinking always to avoid scams.
