About Mauz Publishing
Hi, I’m Amy Mulneix — writer, storyteller, and the chaos coordinator behind Mauz Publishing.
If there were a biography about me, it would be called A Suitcase Full of Notebooks and a Dare.
I've been filling notebooks full of stories and story ideas ever since I can remember. After spending 13 years surrounded by other people's stories in an elementary school library, I sold off almost everything I owned and set off on an adventure — searching for inspiration and gathering courage to bring the stories tucked away in my notebooks to life. Somewhere along the way, I realized that those stories, much like myself, did not all fit into one tidy mold. So I embraced the diversity and let them split off into their own personalities.
Because let’s be honest: one pen name just wasn’t enough when you have a lifetime of stories to tell.
Meet the Voices:
Miss Amy writes playful, heartwarming children’s books — the kind meant to be read aloud with giggles and wide-eyed wonder.
Shalon DeDiablo is the spooky storyteller who grew up on horror movies, ghost stories, and stormy nights. She wears emerald instead of black and thinks the best chills come with a little laughter.
A. Mauz is the unapologetically sarcastic voice of real-life chaos, caffeine-fueled inspiration, and motivational tough love (with swearing).
Amy Mulneix is my alter ego who only wants to write modern romances with quirky characters, swoony moments, and love stories that feel real — awkward pauses, french fries, and all.
Mauz Publishing is based in Texas, but I'm always dreaming of our next adventure back on the road in an RV — the perfect way to gather new inspiration. Wherever I roam, my loyal dog Gus is right by my side (probably napping near a pile of notebooks). And of course, my husband (and personal hero) Will doing what it takes to make it possible for me to keep my nose in my books (and reminding me to eat).
Mauz Publishing is more than my way of giving each of those voices a place to shine — and following through on my lifelong dream of seeing their stories in print. It’s also about having a place to share the journey.
I believe in the magic of imagination, the courage it takes to chase wild dreams, and the importance of lifting others up along the way.
You can usually find me wandering bookstores, sipping tea in cozy cafés, or laughing over silly stories with fellow dreamers. Wherever you find me — online or in the real world — know I'm probably already cheering for you.
