Before joining UCL, I held academic and teaching appointments at the University of Oxford, the University of Nottingham Business School, SOAS University of London, and Università di Roma – Tor Vergata. Over the past decade, I have developed, directed, and delivered postgraduate programmes in finance across a range of institutional contexts — consistently combining rigorous academic training with practical insight. At UCL, I serve as Programme Director of the MSc in Private Equity and Digital Finance, where I lead academic delivery, supervise student projects, and coordinate engagement with senior practitioners from the financial sector.
Alongside my academic career, I have worked extensively with both the private sector and government institutions. My professional experience includes roles as advisor and research officer for the Italian Bankers Association, the Italian National Institute of Statistics, and the Ministry for the Environment. I have also collaborated on policy-related projects with the Italian Parliament and served as a committee member advising the UK Home Office on student mobility and visa regulation.
This dual engagement — in higher education and in institutional practice — informs my teaching and leadership approach: applied, interdisciplinary, and anchored in the realities of how finance operates across markets, organisations, and policy frameworks.
