MATTRN Cleaner is designed to help you clear your local browsing data. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, browsing history, or usage data to external servers. All operations are performed locally on your device.
Browsing Data Processing: When you initiate a cleanup action (such as clearing cache, cookies, or local storage), the extension utilizes official Google Chrome APIs (chrome.browsingData) to execute the deletion directly within your browser instance.
Active Tab Access: To perform a "Current Site" or "Purge Session" cleanup, the extension temporarily accesses the URL and origin of your active tab locally to determine which site-specific data to clear. This information is never saved, logged, or shared.
Extension Preferences: The extension uses Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) solely to remember your preferred settings, such as your quick-checkbox configurations and auto-reload preferences. This data remains on your machine.
No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer any user data to third parties.
No Cloud Storage: Because your data never leaves your local browser environment, there is no database or cloud server where your information could be accessed or compromised.
To function correctly, MATTRN Cleaner requires specific browser permissions:
browsingData: Required to clear cache, cookies, history, and other selected browser data at your request.
activeTab: Required to detect the domain of the website you are currently viewing so it can perform site-specific data clearing.
storage: Required to save your extension layout preferences locally.
Because MATTRN Cleaner does not collect any personal information whatsoever, it complies fully with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect functional updates to the extension. Any changes will be posted directly on this page with an updated effective date.
