Matt Johnson

Matt John is a Canadian entrepreneur who founded MJM Consulting in 2003. As he developed a passion for helping small to medium-sized businesses, he decided to open his own firm.

In the past, Matt Johnson-Principal served in companies by sharing his knowledge to help formulate strategies that create results for their business.

He began building his career by working with Sage for almost 10 years. His responsibilities include growing the company's customer base and increasing recognition of the brand and its services.

Following his service at Sage, Matt was employed by two other companies which are Ritchie Bros and STEMCELL Technologies. At Ritchie Bros, he helped strengthen customer relations by implementing an effective email marketing strategy. On the other hand, he guided STEMCELL to increase its sales and brand recognition by implementing business intelligence tools such as website optimization.

Currently, MJM Consulting helps business owners around British Columbia to succeed by improving their marketing strategies with the use of the resources that are available to them. Though Matt founded the company while still living in Canada, he later decided to move his family to the United States and settle down in the state of Washington where he has continued to run his business remotely.

Through consultation and the implementation of personalized technological solutions, Matt and his team continue to guide home decor retailers, restaurants, hospitality providers, construction suppliers, real estate agencies, and other businesses to achieve their own marketing goals.

Education

Matt Johnson-Principal is a graduate of the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business. There, he received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1988, followed by his Professional MBA after two years.

Family

Matt draws much of his inspiration from his wife and children. Despite having a job that fills up his schedule, he sees to it that he spends quality time with his family as much as possible. Knowing how important good memories are to the development of kids, he takes them to trips and adventures most of the time.
