What guides my work
Good communication in science-driven companies is not only about looking better or sounding better. It is about helping the right people understand what matters and ensuring the communication reflects the quality of the science behind it.
The principles below guide how I approach this practice.
Clarity comes from making the right things stand out. It often requires removing clutter, reducing competing points of attention, and limiting detail to what is needed at that moment. Effective communication reduces cognitive load and helps the audience see what matters most and why, without compromising the integrity of the science.
Storytelling is effective because it helps people make sense of complexity. It gives information structure and meaning, making it easier to understand what matters, what is at stake, and why a solution is relevant. The story is not mainly about the company itself, but a way of clarifying the problem and the value of the work. Different audiences will need different framing, emphasis, and levels of detail, but the underlying story should remain consistent.
Design is much more than aesthetics. Effective communication uses intentional design and visualizations to guide attention, reduce friction, and support understanding. It also shapes whether the presentation is perceived as professional and credible as the science and company behind it.
