I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Mathematics at the University of Birmingham, UK.
Prior to that, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Univerisity of British Columbia (mentored by Prof. Christoph Ortner), and a SAMSI postdoctoral associate in the Mathematics department at Duke University (mentored by Jianfeng Lu, and Jonathan Mattingly).
I received my Ph.D. in Applied and Computational Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh where I worked under the supervision of Benedict Leimkuhler and Vincent Danos.
I can be reached via m.sachs@bham.ac.uk
21/02/2025: I will be speaking in the Applied Mathematics Seminar at the Mathematics Institute of the University of Warwick
