My original idea was to recreate the car from Supernatural, but it did not function with the parameters.
I scrapped the 67', and redesigned it to be wider and taller.
I created the body as a low - rider, so it would be wide and low for speed and stability.
The axles have to be higher on the car, so that the body is closer to the ground.
I redesigned the axles to be longer, so the wheels could sit on the outside of the car for stability.
I had to use the thin wheels, as the thick wheels would've pushed the width of the car past parameters.
I had to give the car a trunk so the cartridge hole would have a place to go. the back wasn't tall enough.
The trunk I'd created was not aerodynamic, so I filleted it to push the air slightly in, and then out.
I added the guideline hole in the bumper, so they wouldn't hit hte ground and break easily.
The air from the trunk fillets will get pushed onto the fin I'd created, creating downforce in the back of the car.
I gave the car a bumper and headlights, for style like a real car.
I filleted out the bumper and headlights, so they served an aerodynamic purpose pushing the air out.
The Low - Rider style pushes air under the car, and out to the side.
Still a Low - Rider, the car was much more Aerodynamic after adding the engine and filleting the trunk / bumper.
Here is my Drawing.
I raced and finished first with a time of 4.461 seconds.
I raced and finished second with a time of 5.792 seconds.
I raced and finished second with a time of 5.482 seconds.
According to my calculations, my maximum velocity was 25.467 mph.
I had a 3.78% improvement of drag after adding a tail wing and fillets.
