Matthew Weaver

I am a visiting assistant professor in the mathematics department at the University of Notre Dame. Starting Fall of 2024 I will be an assistant teaching professor in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at Arizona State University.

My research interests lie in commutative algebra and its applications to algebraic geometry. More specifically, I am interested in the study of Rees algebras of ideals and modules, along with the various properties of these rings.

I received my PhD from Purdue University in 2022, under the advisement of Bernd Ulrich. My thesis can be found here.
