Matthew Weaver

I am a visiting assistant professor in the mathematics department at the University of Notre Dame, working with Claudia Polini. My research interests lie in commutative algebra and its applications to algebraic geometry. More specifically, I am interested in the study of Rees algebras of ideals and modules, along with the various properties of these rings and the equations defining these algebras.

I received my PhD from Purdue University in 2022, under the advisement of Bernd Ulrich. My thesis can be found here.
