Hi there! I’m Matt — a behavioral ecologist passionate about plant–animal interactions.
My research explores how herbivores behave and interact with their host plants and with other species, including fellow herbivores and natural enemies. I'm especially interested in how individual behavior scales up to influence population and community-level dynamics.
To investigate these questions, I combine field experiments, behavioral assays, chemical ecology, and molecular tools to uncover the mechanisms driving plant–insect interactions — and to better understand their broader implications for ecosystem function and sustainable agriculture.
