Gachapon Soundbox Project

The concept of the project is to create a sampler box using an Arduino board, with the gachapon machine to generate layers of sounds that will be used for each piece.

This project is done in collaboration with Kelly Raphaelle.

Collaborative Piece: Japan City Life

A piece of music that included defining sounds from Tokyo, Japan, with inspirations from the K-Pop R&B genre.

Individual Piece: Extinction

This ambient piece is inspired by environmental and social issues such as global warming, deforestation, and environmental degradation from urbanisation and war.

Journey to the Eastern End

With the retirement of the first generation North-South and East-West Line trains currently underway, this piece dedicates a train enthusiast’s journey on this rolling stock to the eastern end of the East-West Line. The train ends at Pasir Ris, signifying the end of the train’s journey, as well as a train enthusiast’s journey home.
