Teaching Philosophy
Over the past decade, I have developed a teaching approach centered on three key pedagogical pillars: engagement, blended learning, and inclusion. In my classes, I stimulate critical thinking by posing questions in both written assignments and class discussions that require students to apply concepts and theories to real-world situations, as well as critically evaluate the assumptions embedded in those theories. Blended learning, which combines group activities and simulations with traditional Socratic lecturing, is essential to fostering active student participation. Finally, I am committed to creating an inclusive classroom where all students—regardless of their background—feel welcome, safe, and empowered to express their viewpoints freely.
