Chancellor's Fellow in Mathematical Modelling
I am a Chancellor's Fellow in Mathematical Modelling at the University of Strathclyde. My work focuses on using mathematical modelling to answer questions involving the interaction of fluid flows and solid structures at the microscale. Current topics of interest include: chemically-propelled filaments, emergent mechanics due to material replacement in biological tissues, and the swelling of salty polymers.

I have previously worked as the Clifford Fellow in Applied Mathematics at UCL, and as a research fellow with Tom Montenegro-Johnson at the University of Birmingham and University of Warwick on "Shape Transforming Active Microfluidics". My PhD at the University of Oxford, "Sticking with droplets: Mathematical modelling of capillary adhesion", was supervised by Dominic Vella.

In 2025-26, I am lecturing MM215 at the University of Strathclyde. This is a maths course for engineers covering linear algebra, numerical methods and Fourier representation.
Previously, I lectured MATH0078 Asymptotic Approximation Methods at UCL, as well as guest lecturing on the course Frontiers in Mathematical Modelling, and taught example classes in Methods, Waves and PDEs.
